Angelina hadn’t been near enough to hear any loud announcements from the streets. She’d caught wind of the new invention going on the market in a conversation with Fred days prior and had promised to drop in and check it out. She hadn’t planned on being so drained though. Her trainer at in the Auror Department had decided they should do physical training most of the day. They put Quidditch practices under Wood to shame. She was certain every muscle in her body was aching but she was going to be damned if she didn’t keep her word.
The store was crowded when she made entry and she spied Fred and Verity ringing people up. She couldn’t spot George at first but when she did she approached him from behind covering both eyes with her hand. She didn’t shrink back over the hole in his head or the extendable ear she’d known he’d taken to wearing to try to cover it. She was getting used to it now.
“Guess who?” she asked finding a hint of a second wind enough to laugh a bit over it. She always managed to find some energy at the joke shop. She needed it to keep up with the boys though. They were such handfuls. She didn’t doubt George would know who it was. If she could keep the two of them separate they could keep her separate as well. “Guess right and I might purchase one of those journals. I have lots of things to write down.”
