When the "Ministry officials" invaded the Delacour-Weasley wedding, Hestia nearly managed to leave the Burrow in time to avoid interrogation, but she hesitated, just a second enough to find herself being poked and prodded by an interrogator. She'd hesitated, waited a second too long to think of the possibilities of what might happen to those who couldn't flee the scene, and decided that it was probably for the best that she stay. Merlin knew what some of these new Ministry officials were capable of, and Hestia wanted to offer her skills if the situation arose.
She was relieved when, after confessing no knowledge of Harry Potter's whereabouts and admitting that she was Bill Weasley's friend from school, the official left her alone the search out another to prey on. Hestia had controlled her temper while being questioned, but now her anger was threatening to boil over. It was lucky that the officials left almost as quickly as they had come.
Hestia turned to cleaning, especially since Bill and Fleur had withdrawn themselves from the rest of the party. She was seething inside, but a bit of fast wand work would help soothe the anger. Hestia was very close to banishing a ruined bouquet when she noticed Viktor nearby. It wouldn't do to make a complete fool of herself in front of him, so she opted to pick up the destroyed flowers and settle them in with the rest of the rubbish that he was gathering.
"I can't believe this," Hestia said as she approached Viktor and tossed the flowers aside. She was still upset about what had happened to Bill and Fleur's wedding, she knew that her face had to be flushed with anger, but she was also glad that Viktor seemed relatively unharmed.
