She smirked and bumped him with her hip. "If I did, I certainly wouldn't tell such an upright citizen as yourself about it." Percy was looking decidedly flustered it was all she could not to giggle at his expression.
Her mood immediately sobered. She eyed him for a moment, all too aware of how potentially dangerous it was to talk about such things with a near stranger. But Percy was a Weasley for all his rumored discord with the family and he had always seemed to be an honest sort underneath all of that rigid, uptight control.
"Worried about myself? Not at all. I'm a Chinese Pureblood. My family traces its lines back, unbroken, for over three thousand years. That's quite a bit more history than any of you round-eyes can claim," she said dryly.
Drawing a breath, she met his eyes. "However, we have people that have worked for us for years that might be affected." She smiled crookedly. "Not to mention how this will effect our trade relations with other countries. Can you imagine what the Americans would have to say? Not to mention the Australians?"
