Percy nodded, not bothering to hide his relief. He had few doubts that Penny would be able to hold her own if accosted, but he was glad to hear that she'd write him. He knew he'd spend most of the evening thumbing through his journal waiting for a note to assure him of her safe arrival.
He flushed a little when she gave him a very Percy-ish look, bordering on telling him not to be such a nancy. "Sorry," he apologized softly. "And...no. I don't care what you look like, I'd like a hug."
Even if the hug was from himself, lean and sinewy and impressively...unimpressive. If he ever kissed another girl, he'd be amazed.
He hugged her tight, in spite of all self-deprecating thoughts. "Take care, Penny," he whispered. "I'll see you soon." He hoped.
