"The Hufflepuff amongst the Slytherins," he joked. "Promise you won't let them serve me up for dinner." His voice was more amused than serious though, and he met her eyes across the table, curious as to why he would have attracted her attention.
Perhaps it was as he thought. Perhaps now things were different, very different indeed.
"I'm glad you invited me," he said evenly. "And I'm glad you enjoy my company. Because I find I enjoy yours as well."
