Gawain listened to Lupin, picking up a chip idly and popping it into his mouth before he remembered his worry about them. Ah well. Too late now. He reached for another.
"I don't get out much these days. Are many fleeing?"
He knew of those who had neglected to show up for their trials - the lists grew weekly it seemed - but was it more than that? Were half-bloods going too?
"It seems people are scared." He shot Lupin a look. "Not everyone can be brave, you know."
He watched the other man closely now, curious as to his response. There was nothing brave about people who took the law into their own hands, but he kept his mouth shut about that.
