"Why do I think that your idea of exercise wouldn't be appropriate for company?" he murmured, more to himself than to her as he led her from the barn.
The air had become more chilly since they'd gone in, and he let his arm slide more firmly around her waist. It baffled him, a little, as to why he was actually putting forth a modicum of effort with this one. She wasn't his usual sort - or rather, not the ones he chose for himself.
Still, he told himself, she may be useful with who her friends were. There was time for that in the future though.
