Alicia felt completely out of her element being called Miss Spinnet by someone old enough to be her... better not to be thought of that, because it was another reminder of the age difference. She was not under any sort of rosy view as to why she was here or why Xavier was paying attention to her. Their first date had proved pretty well what he was interested in, which was just as well, because she wasn't interested in anything like... this boded.
"Please, Mrs. Selwyn, call me Alicia," she said with a smile. "And I'm pleased Xavier invited me." She tried to tell herself that her earlier suppositions of him had to be false somehow, because why would a Death Eater invite her to dinner with his mother? It seemed innocuous and strange.
Her eyes went back up to Xavier in what was to his mother likely an adoring look, but there was a hint of mischief in it only he could see.
"He's told me all about the stables and your horses." The conversation continued for a few moments and then they took their leave, her hand still wrapped in his, which was... so very odd.
"Hoping she'll leave you alone for a while now?" she asked him when they gained the lawn.
