"Oh, I don't believe your brothers' prank items are the only contents of this bag. I actually haven't seen quite that many of them, although I don't believe that the merchandise that they have on the shelves possess enchantments as harmful as the telescope you happened to receive." Hestia bit her lip at that. It was actually quite cruel, and certainly not the way to go about getting Percy back in the family.
"It's usually cursed objects, amulets and trinkets that frauds try to sell as protective devices to the more...superstitious witches and wizards. Those are what we particularly try to collect so they're no longer an issue," she explained as she sealed the bag shut.
"Things have become more difficult here, as I'm sure they have with many other businesses," Hestia commented, tucking her hair behind her ear. "I'm grateful that nobody's found reason to dictate to us which cases happen to take priority. At least the patients who need immediate care are receiving it, regardless of blood status." She wondered how he might react to her statement.
"The swelling seems to be going down a bit, that's a good sign," Hestia said as quickly set the reference aside. The color of the bruise seemed to be fading to a normal dark color as well. She was a bit hasty in setting her book aside, and a few pages of notes that had been stuck in the book fluttered to the floor.
"Blast," she muttered as she set to picking up her papers.
