She wasn't caught too off guard by his curt tone. Hestia often saw people at their worst in the hospital, so she knew not to judge people by the attitudes they displayed during their visits. He also had good reason to be very angry. "I see, well I'll," Hestia started, nearly telling him the way that she would see to scolding his brothers about this, but she stopped herself in time. That wouldn't do at all.
As far as Percy Weasley knew, they were complete strangers, and she certainly had no reason for knowing his younger brothers. "I'll be sure to include that in my report. Did you bring the artifact with you to tonight? If so, we have ways of dealing with such objects here, regardless of who your brothers happen to be or the business they run." Hestia hoped that he wouldn't report the twins directly to the proper Ministry authorities, the last thing the Weasley family needed was another reason for the Ministry to pry into their lives. Hestia might have been jumping to conclusions about Percy, but she certainly wasn't one to take chances.
"Do you mind taking your glasses off for a moment?" Hestia asked. "Honestly, Mr. Weasley, I've never seen anything like this before. We have some salves that will probably take care of the bruising easily enough, but I've never had to treat...enchanted coloration," she said, trying to come up with a clinical way to describe the rainbow which surrounded his eye.
"My trainee left our program due to unfortunate circumstances, so excuse me for a moment while I fetch some salves and potions that might help with the bruise." Hestia nodded, then left the room. Her trainee hadn't been to the hospital since the Ministry started the nonsense about blood status. Hestia supposed Barnes was one of the wise muggleborns, disappearing without notice at the first sign of trouble. She hoped the girl was safe, wherever she was now.
Shaking her head, Hestia pulled a few small vials from the hospital store and she returned quickly to the examination room, also carrying a reference text that might help her with the color. She hoped that the coloration around the bruise might go away if she could quickly manage the bruise, but Hestia would be prepared if it didn't.
