Fleur's lips twitched up in a smile. "That has nothing to do with our marriage," she said evenly. "And I would hate to think you were thinking of that when you asked me." She stretched up a bit and kissed the corner of his mouth as she felt him relax.
"It is a difficult time," she said. "But people get through difficult times and are the better for it. And I don't think either of us want the children we will have someday to live in a world that is like it is now." She closed her eyes and pressed her face against his throat. "We cannot hide in our corner and pretend it is not happening, we can only fight, and be strong, and love one another."
