Penny just nodded her head trying not to look at him too much for fear of staring or something equally embarrassed, she was sure there was still some pink tint to her cheeks. Penny just went about making sure the water started to boil while she got out a pot for her tomato sauce. "Do you have canned stuff? Or should we make it from scratch?" She asked looking back over to him for the first time in what felt like was forever. When you were trying not to look at someone it felt like ages in between the times you cast a glance their way.
Hearing the water turn on she thought she was in the clear, but then she heard him blurt out an apology. "No it is fine, I didn't see anything," she said quickly and for a moment she thought she made it sound to relieved that she hadn't. "Not that I wouldn't want to," Penny's eyes when wide at what she said. "I mean it wouldn't have mattered if I had." Penny was now bright red as looked at him, and quickly looked away.
Penny was staring at the water in the pot and just standing there not doing anything. She felt completely embarrassed at what she had said and the words just kept replying over and over in her head.
