"I couldn't have," he insisted. He wouldn't have asked for anything, to be fair, but he was quite happy with the watch.
He wrapped his fingers around his pint glass. "Good luck with that," he said. "Sometimes it feels like someone is using a Gemineo Charm when you're not looking, doesn't it? Mind you, I like having things in triplicate, but my file cabinets don't have much more room, even with wizarding space."
"I'm as well as can be expected. We've got a lot going on in the Ministry. There's been a bit of shuffling around because they're making room for a new project of some kind." He'd tried to nose around and figure out what it was all about, but had had no luck yet.
"I have, actually," he said. "That is, opened it. Read a few things. There are some strange people in the world." And he'd be lying if he said he hadn't tried to discern his siblings' handwriting throughout the journal's pages. "I haven't written in it, yet. Soon, perhaps. I suppose I really should have hexed you a private thank you note. That would have been polite."
