Percy looked up from his pint glass and blinked twice. "Penny!" he exclaimed, quite surprised. He really hadn't expected to see anyone, but not seeing anyone at the Leaky was a little less lonely than not seeing anyone at your flat. "Hello!"
He hugged her back, and then gestured to the seat across from him. "Nonsense! Don't apologize." He hadn't reminded her, after all. He hadn't wanted to seem like he was fishing for company. It wasn't like he needed company.
That being said, he was glad Penny had showed up.
"You didn't have to do that, Pen," he said, taking the parcel and card from her. "But thank you." He opened the card first and read it, getting a little red around the ears. "Can I get you a drink?"
