Viktor just smiled as Hestia chided him for paying for dinner. He couldn’t think of a proper time when a lady should have to pay for her own dinner, be it his birthday or not. He had the means and should use them to take proper care of her needs.
“It was a pleasure to have dinner vith you, Hestia. That vas treat enough.”
Diagon Alley had changed a lot in the past three years and not in a good way. He had hoped it would be bustling with life but the streets were mostly empty. The people are scared and there ministry doesn’t even care, that is so terrible. He was terribly curious about the surprise she said she had for him and Viktor hoped she hadn’t put herself out. He knew that her work was very important.
“May I have a hint of my surprise or are you going to torture me until ve get to your home?”
As they arrived at her flat Viktor was let in and he couldn’t help but grin, he was excited to see what the surprise was.
