RP: Ending shift
Date: Sunday afternoon, 19 July 1997 Characters: Hestia Jones, Gawain Robards Location: St. Mungo's Status: Public (Open to all!) Summary: Hestia is nearing the end of a hectic weekend. Completion: Complete
The weekend was nearly over for Hestia, which also, conveniently, meant that her shift was nearly finished. It seemed that, for some unknown reason, the wizarding world was far more foolish and stupid on the weekends, and the carefully executed behaviors which resulted from that stupidity called for Hestia to work weekend shifts at St. Mungo's. She'd repaired several drunken splinchings, overseen a few bone settings which she assumed were caused by broom accidents, and she'd even had the delight of treating a wand malfunction. All of the cases she'd dealt with were relatively easy for Hestia to manage, and she was sure that her patients would be well into recovery by Monday.
Except for the interesting green spots which appeared on the wand victim's skin, Hestia felt extremely comfortable with leaving the hospital a bit early. She left a note at one of the healers' stations for her trainees to keep a close watch on the green spots, just in case they began to present magical properties. That wasn't likely, but Hestia wanted to be through.
Hestia was flipping through the cases she'd had early that morning, checking the paperwork before she finished her shift, when a trainee quickly ran through the station, taking no notice of her presence. The neatly organized files that Hestia had been examining were now scattered over the floor. With a huff, Hestia grabbed the nearest bit of parchment and set about cleaning up the mess.
