Tonks actually coughed out a bit of a laugh as he described her dinner as, well, exactly what it DID look like. "I know, it's bloody lovely though. Best thing for a sick stomach or after a night of drinkin'. Picked up the recipe at a Weird Sister's concert." Tonks admitted, giving him another smile, this one a bit easier for the touch of a chuckle that he had given her, but it still wasn't in her eyes. She reached down and scooped up another gravy slathered chip, though, popping it past her lips and letting the horribly wonderful warmth of it relax her a moment or two.
His comment about her being stunning just made her smirk, shaking her head quietly, "Wouldn't say stunnin', but yer sweet. I'm... fine. Just peachy. Lovely. Fine as the world is right now, at least." She really was doing her best to seem fine also. She didn't need half the order thinking she was an emotional mess. And with Remus gone she had been managing to hold it together. She'd probably truly be in an alright mood if they hadn't just had another row twenty minutes ago. Fine really wasn't anything near her actual state of being.
