Tonks nodded quietly to the woman, still not meeting Graylin's eyes, considering exactly what she and her partner were to each other now. Were they friends? Trusted colleagues? Just two women thrown into a bad situation who did their jobs very well and no longer could do that with a good conscience? Tonks sighed, finally looking up. "It'll turn out alright. It has to. It bloody well has to." She finally murmured, her voice a bit more firm. If she didn't believe that, well, she just couldn't go on.
And with that confession, that moment of weak optimism with the woman, things were cemented. She had to trust Graylin or she might just go insane. They were in for hell or high water.
