The final question actually caught Tonks rather off guard. She blinked up, trying not to hesitate too long, but she did hesitate. She didn't really even know how to answer the matter, her lips pressed into a quiet line of a frown, eyes a bit worried.
Still, Savage seemed younger than her, definitely not quite so experienced, eve if it was just because the woman didn't fight with the Order. Either way, she didn't quite have the calloused heart that Tonks had managed to build against the war and if Tonks showed herself faltering, what was Greylin supposed to think? So, after a few heartbeats, Tonks flashed the woman a smile which didn't quite make it to her eyes.
"Of course, Greylin. Why wouldn't we? We know we're fighting the right battle. No matter how bad the ministry gets, it can't last forever. He was taken down once. He'll be taken down again. I promise you, we'll get through this. It might take a year or two, but we'll get there." Tonks paused in eating a moment, her fingertips reaching across the table, giving Greylin's hand a brief squeeze.
