Pippin & Kaz
Pippin gave the kind of laugh that would come from people who almost fell over a cliff. "Oh. Yeah. The Hounds of Tindalos are a pain in the butt, but it could be so much worse. Or better, depending on the creature that showed up. I mean, there's wandering gods we so don't want wandering onto our island or we'd all go insane instantly."
Yes, Pippin was always this energetic and perky. Especially when she was discovering something new.
She looked back to Kaz, her green eyes landing on the cane he obviously needed. "Using that on the sand has to be annoying, too." She smiled then tilted her head toward the treeline.
After a short walk through some trees, they came to a paved road. Dead cars littered the cracked surface where vegetation had begun to retake the land. Pippin stopped by one of the vehicles to examine the license plate.
"Oh! We're in New Zealand!" She straightened to smile at Kaz. "I always wanted to go, but under better circumstances. There's a whole lot of neat animals and legends here."
