Re: Geralt and Maria DeLuca
Geralt donned his armor quickly, adding his dual swords to his back and walking briskly out the door. Yen had only been here a day and he'd already lost her. He mentally shook himself. Those merpeople should know something, right? They had eyes everywhere it seemed. He walked by house after empty house, or houses where only a couple of confused people had come out looking. He hadn't made many friends here yet, so just talking with people was a little disconcerting. He didn't know if they'd react like people on the Continent or not.
Making his way toward the Northside of the island, toward the lighthouse, he took note of how many people he saw. He checked Buffy's house even though it was out of his way. She did not answer. He opened the door and yelled for her--no answer. Fuck, he mentally cursed and turned away from her house and back toward the lighthouse. Maybe she was already there? Now he was worried about the only friend he'd made so far here. Sighing, he shouldered the swords and kept walking.
He stopped long enough to type into his phone, "Buffy isn't at home. Can only hope she's at the lighthouse or somewhere along the way. Phones are still at the house, yeah, Leah's and Yen's were in the rooms they disappeared from. I don't understand this. Maybe the merpeople know something?"
