Kate and Open!
Lucky's cold nose nudged Kate's hand to wake her, as often happened when she overslept and he needed to go out. She roused like normal, dressed, and took the dog outside of the house, just like usual. Something about the day felt quiet, though. Eerie in a way that this place wasn't normally eerie. It made the hairs on the back of Kate's neck stand on end, so she decided to go looking for other people. See if her feeling was misplaced.
When she walked through the camp and found no one, her heart started racing. Where was everybody?
"Hello?" She called out. Lucky gave a bark. "You said it," she told him. "This is weird."
