Kate and America
Thankfully, Kate found a really, really long stretch of rope to use as a leash. Lucky didn't always stay on a leash, but with the danger in the water, Kate wanted to keep him close, while giving him a stretch of freedom. She couldn't keep herself away from the water, either. The prospect of the mermaids--or merfolk, or sirens, or whatever they were--was an attraction that Kate couldn't ignore. Not to mention that America was going to be there, and she was very much looking forward to hanging out with her friend.
The dog came running up to America, whimpering gently, tail wagging frantically at the sight of his new best friend.
Kate caught up after a couple of moments, the leash trailing on the ground between her hand and the pup. A bright grin crossed her lips at the sight of America and the boxes of fabric. "Hey!" She said, a little surprised at how fast her heart was beating.
