Caspian and Caitlin
In the afternoon, Caspian ventured to the beach. From the network, he'd read of items washing up on shore and containers filled with fabric and sewing kits. Most important of all, he'd read that the merpeople were seen off shore. In Narnia, there were merfolk and Caspian was familiar with them. However, the ones he knew of were dangerous and wished to lure men to their deaths. Because these merfolk had saved Alyssa and some of the others, Caspian did not think they meant those trapped here any harm.
However, he was still cautious as he approached the water's edge and inhaled the sharp scent of salty sea air. He noticed a young woman with brown hair already present. Caspian recognized her as one of the doctors here. He slowed to a walk and spoke up so as to not startle her.
"Hello," he greeted, looking over at her with a smile. He made sure to keep a polite amount of distance so as not to seem overbearing. Brown eyes shifted back to the ocean and that grin brightened as he caught sight of the heads still bobbing in the waves. He hadn't missed them. Wonderful.
"Have you come to speak with the merfolk?" Caspian asked, gaze shifting back to the doctor. "Or merely to investigate the items washing up on shore?" As much as the king wanted to wave, to get their attention, he did not wish to upset the brunette beside him if her intentions did not include attempting a conversation with the mermaids.
