Adam and Alyssa
Adam hadn't really been comfortable with himself in years. He'd had a difficult time adapting to being who - and what - he was while believing something his people felt to be anathema to who they were. He'd felt better while helping the Loric, but he wasn't one of them, either, no matter how much he might have liked to be.
"No, it isn't you," he said, forcing a small, awkward smile. He crossed his arms over his chest nervously.
