Re: Lu and Cas
While Caspian certainly did not know Lucy as well as her family, he knew enough to know that it took a lot for the young woman beside him to dislike something. She was normally so positive and he could see that this place had started to take a toll on that bright spirit. It bothered Caspian.
Wiping his hands on his napkin, Caspian turned to look at her and placed a hand on Lucy's shoulder. He'd seen the brief darkening of her expression. While Caspian had not yet existence at the time of Aslan's sacrifice, he'd read and heard stories of the event. He knew it was necessary, but also heartbreaking. Though, he could not begin to imagine what it was like to live through it.
"I am sorry, Lucy. You have my word that I will do my best to make it better for you. I will not allow that bright, beautiful spirit of yours to be destroyed by whatever is happening here." Caspian saw Lucy like the little sister he never had. Of course, they were near the same age now so 'little' no longer counted. But she was family regardless.
At least, she was still able to smile and her wrist was better. "I'm glad Davina was able to help." His hand slipped from her shoulder and Caspian's stomach forced him to focus on his plate once more.
