Kate and Open to anyone ~ Multiple responses welcome
Kate slept through the bell. She probably would have slept through more, too, but Lucky woke her with a cold, wet nose to the cheek. After fighting off zombie dogs for what felt like a billion years, she was looking forward to some shut-eye. And she got really good rest for the first time in (again) what felt like a billion years. But Lucky heard the bell and probably smelled the pizza, so he wasn't going to sit around while Kate slept her life away.
Together they made their way down to the White House. She stopped and read the sign on the door. Huh. A generator. That was a pretty big deal. They could do all kinds of things with a generator.
Lucky couldn't read, so he went into the house without stopping to look at the sign. Nose in the air, he explored the room until he came to the part of the table with pizza on it, then sat down. I'm a good dog. Good dogs deserve pizza.
Kate wandered in behind him, surveying the table, and unsure where she wanted to start.
