His fingers flashed again, and once more a net of fire was cast from one hand. It was a relatively simple binding spell, something to bolster the defenses and wrap up any hounds that remained, but it was plenty enough to stop momentum and send a few stragglers sprawling - then he just portaled those away too. Cloak could propel him through the air quickly, doing its job with crimson wool and what looked like flared wings - but Stephen only wanted to take a quick lap to ensure he'd covered the perimeter of where the animals were kept.
Mooing cows and bleating sheep - that was fun. Clearly they were loud and upset, and he supposed he couldn't blame them - but the important thing was that they were okay. Safe.
He flew back and observed the next wave of oncoming hounds, where Michelle pointed. "If they're creating portals at corners and just appearing, I'll keep the animals in a bubble - more like a circle so there aren't any corners and that should help a little. We might have to just fend off the ones that run out of houses, but hopefully the flow will slow as more people head to the lighthouse."
But who knew - this island was weird and full of not-so-fun surprises. He supposed they just had to do their best with what they had. "Nice swordwork though," he chuckled a little. "Teamwork is still good."
