Baron was the Autumn Court's High Lord's name. Not a title. And he was atrocious. Azriel came with many mixed feelings about those who called the Autumn Court home, but Eris would be a better High Lord. "Pretty much. He's scum, but he's scum who understands the dangers his father poses. So, we work with him."
Az smiled and, for the first time in a long time, didn't feel like he deserved nothing. Maybe, just maybe, he could find a little happiness in this rather bleak world in which they found themselves. "You have rather intoxicating eyes," he commented with a slightly shyer than usual grin.
"I can control shadows, yes. It's a rare power back in my homeland, but it certainly makes my job as a spy much easier. Nobody ever notices shadows." Not really. "I can hear and feel things others cant, as well as merge into shadows and travel through them." And, right now, the only known one back home was Az, with every court wanting his powers. But, Az belonged with his brothers in the Night Court.
