Was he hoping she'd say it could wait? Yes. He'd already told her about her own fate. He'd told Elijah his fate and also pretty much told Hayley she died. It was a rough arrival, but looking at Davina, he knew he couldn't keep it from her. The vampire nodded.
"Josh doesn't make it, love," Kol replied softly. He pulled her tighter to him, bracing for the sadness and anger that was sure to come to bubble to the surface now. "I'm so sorry, Davina. Truly. I know how much you cared about him."
Davina rested her legs across his lap and Kol placed his hand on her thigh, fingers gently caressing the skin. "Yeah, you loved it." He was pleased she was happy with the location and that she said they were better together than apart. He very much believed that too.
"Wonderful. Then it sounds as if we have some house hunting to do."
