"I won't stop you from giving them the tongue lashing of a lifetime, love," Kol replied truthfully. For as understanding as Davina was, he certainly believed they deserved that and probably a lot more from the witch. If Vincent had not been able to retrieve the pieces of Davina's soul, she would have been lost forever, suffering a fate worse than death. Even just thinking about it made Kol's heart ache. He could not imagine a life in which Davina did not exist.
Kol pressed a kiss to Davina's head. "It's okay, darling. I appreciate the fact that you are willing to understand." And they damn well better be wiling to understand too. Avoiding infighting was key to survival here, but Kol would not be upset in the slightest if Davina spoke her mind about the entire ordeal. She deserved that much. "And no matter how terrible this place is, we will weather it together. I promise."
The vampire nodded. "I think deep down she already knows how thankful you are, but I doubt it would hurt anything to tell her again," Kol replied.
