From her comment, Kol knew Davina was from a very terrible point in her life. It was no wonder she was leery about his arrival. She probably believed he wasn't coming for her. That he wasn't doing everything in his power to get her back. Plus being trapped here without him did not exactly help matters either. Davina probably thought there was no happy ending in sight. Well, Kol was here to prove to her otherwise.
With his vampire speed, it did not take him long to reach the lighthouse and to spot his wife or would-be wife. She looked younger, but that fit with what she'd admitted about her place in the timeline. Not that it mattered. She was still his Davina. Still the woman he loved. She was just...a little more broken right now. There was a part of him that didn't want to admit anymore about their future; she might be overwhelmed as it was. Still, he didn't feel right keeping it from her either, especially since their future together only did get better.
"Davina," Kol said, slowly walking towards the brunette. "Love, I'm here." Every part of him wanted to run to her, sweep her up in his arms, and kiss her until she was breathless, but he restrained himself. He didn't want to scare her.
