It was tragic. While Kaz would never admit it out loud, he could empathize with the lighthouse keeper. He knew what it was like to lose someone you cared about. To want to do anything to seek revenge on the person responsible for stealing them away.
The ghost did not need anymore incentive to be antagonizing to them, but Nina's antagonizing probably didn't help. However, being that they were on the second floor, they didn't have long to go and the two were soon out of the light house and breathing in fresh air once more.
Kaz turned to face her, watching as she slammed the door to the lighthouse. If it was up to Kaz, he might have found a way to seal it permanently, but they could use the beacon of light to potentially signal new arrivals. Plus, there were supplies in there even if the hoops one had to jump through to reach them were rather dangerous.
Nina apologized and Kaz brushed it off. "Antagonizing the ghost was not the smartest choice, but I think us digging through his things pissed him off way more." And what to do with the information? Kaz's first instinct was to keep it to himself. Knowledge was his main source of power in the Barrel. However, they weren't in the Barrel anymore and Nina and him were outnumbered.
"Let's get out of here. We can eat and discuss how to handle this information we found," Kaz replied and started in the direction of the home they shared.
