His voice filled her senses so easily, so perfectly that she could have heard him if he was across the street. She turned, letting those eyes connect with his as her heart just fluttered around inside of her chest; the weight that had been pressing against it suddenly lifted as she took those few steps to wrap her arms around him, her body coming to rise as far as she needed to in order to give Adam the kiss that was a day and a half past due.
