Tomas held on, not the slightest bit worried about it. He settled his weight comfortably, smiled, and gave a slight shake of his head.
"I was already far from home, so it's nothing."
That wasn't strictly true. He'd been far from home, yes, but not quite so nervous as he was here. He'd had people actively wanted him dead, at home, but also protectors. This was different. But it would be nice not to let that fear ruin something nice, like his first horse ride in years.
