Itachi smiled a little, taking a pinch of the candy. It tore off in his hand, and it tasted like pure sugar--but lighter and that somehow made it better. It melted on his tongue, and Itachi approved.
"I think that's very brave." Itachi had become a pawn to play a part, struggling to keep a balance. Perhaps his life had been unfair. Maybe he'd buckled under too pressure too often. He played a role with his life, defined solely by what other people thought of him, but he had chosen that, hadn't he?
"I suppose I'm not so brave. I was afraid of what would happen if I didn't play my part," Itachi admitted.
