It is the height of Regency era, Andrew Carrington is wealthy and handsome man who is about to become the head of his family but he has one problem, he needs to marry and produce and heir. The bigger problem, he prefers the company of men. Enter Phyllida Lewis.
They strike a deal that he marries her produces and heir and she can continue her work in secret (read to find out her dirty secret) but something strange happens with Andrew, a confirmed bachelor as he does the unthinkable and falls in love with his wife.
However happy with his wife he still missed a male companion and another enters his heart as well by the name of Matthew Thornby. Along with the intrigues that surrounds the three to keep this unique relationship and drama of a romance novel. The book was enjoyable as a good read especially when Andrew with some help has to figure out how to keep his family together.
It's a genre that I don't even enjoy outside fanfiction so it was a surprise that I found this book through some source or other until I had ended up in the author's journal. She was so enthusiastic about the book and the angle was intriguing that I'd eventually went to see her in person in NYC book release and I wasn't disappointed, she read parts and she talked to me about the time she was so period to create a exciting book that took three nights to read it all.
