Sookie still couldn't believe everything that transpired over the las|t few days; both Alcede and Bill were dead. She wasn't in love with Bill; she just loved him, he was her first. Alcede she'd loved in her own way. Regardless their deaths hit her hard.
Puttering around the quiet kitchen, Sook began the process of making fried chicken for Bridget and Jason. First she put it in a salt-water brine, covered it, crossing the kitchen, bowl in hand; she put Gran's chicken bowl in the fridge to set over night.
Lazily making her way upstairs to her bedroom, she changed into a polka-dotted sundress.
Quicker than lightening, a purple smoke, or fog was swirling around her. She clinched her fists together , drawing back her arms at the elbow. Pushing her arms out while opening her fists, the barmaid called upon her Fae powers to dispel the purple smoke surrounding her. The fairy light bounced off without making a dent, instead it hit the ceiling.
These sure are some nice digs, she thought to herself as she looked around the room. Feeling a bit disoriented she explored the room. As soon as she started walking she felt better, her blond ponytail bouncing as she moved.
The envelopes on the table caught her attention, Manilla ones with 'Welcome to Storybrooke' on the front of each one. She opened the contents of each one. Scanning the pages she nodded, the witches were back and this too would pass, all she had to do was play along. Figuring she wasn't the only one under this spell she went to look around and see what she could find.
Opening the door, she walked out into the sunshine. The air smelled refreshing, from her vantage it looked as if she were in a quaint little town. Sookie began to walk.
