Who: Grace Williams (grace_williams) and Steve McGarrett (formerseal) What: Grace goes for her daily run When: Evening Where: Out and about the streets of Storybrooke Status: Ongoing/Closed Warnings: None
Grace had been in Storybrooke for a few months now. She still didn’t know what to think of this place but she was making do. She had gotten herself registered in highschool so that she could continue her classes though she was still worried that being brought to this place was going to disrupt her plans for the future but she was trying to take one day at a time.
Her most recent issue was that her guardian, who had been a younger version of her father but only a couple of years older than her, had suddenly disappeared, leaving Grace on her own. Grace knew that she had to find another guardian but she had just been hanging out in her place and laying low. So far nobody had noticed that she was on her own.
After school, Grace did her homework and she changed into some workout gear, grabbed her iPod and headed out for a run. Even though Danno was not entirely supportive of her future choice of career, it was her plan to become a cop. She knew that Danno was just worried about her and would prefer her to do anything other than be a cop but she was determined to follow in her dad’s footsteps as she wanted to help people.
Grace had done a lot of research as to the requirements to get into the Academy and she had been trying to improve her fitness and endurance so when the time came, she could pass the fitness tests. Uncle Steve helped when she was at home as he’d often accompany her on runs and he had taught her some basic self defence. When she suddenly found herself in Storybooke, she kept up with her routine..
She was nearing the end of her run when she was forced to stop at an intersection where she had to push the pedestrian crossing signal. As she waited for the light to turn red and for her cross signal, she put her hands to her knees and took some deep breaths. She was happy to have a few moments of rest. No matter how often she ran, she always tired near the end of her route.
