This wasn't going to end well. Why couldn't Bellamy just leave this alone? This had been her decision. No one was going to change that. Not Finn. Not Bellamy. And his coming here wasn't even necessary. She was trying to prevent any more bloodshed, why couldn't he see that? Clarke wasn't surprised when Lexa yanked her from the cave and put her makeshift knife to her throat.
"Bellamy, please go." Clarke begged. She didn't want anyone getting hurt here. She didn't want Bellamy hurt, but why should Lexa be hurt for doing right by their people? They all had to do what they had to do. That much, Clarke understood. She didn't know how Finn was here, but it wasn't through any trickery from her. It had wrecked her to do what she'd had to, but it had been the only way. Just as this was the only way now. Bellamy was stubborn and she knew it wouldn't be easy to get him to leave, but she had to try,
"Just turn around and go back to town. The others need you. There is no sense in them losing both of us." If she had to stay out here with Lexa, so be it. They needed the Grounders as allies, there was no disputing that. And Lexa needed Clarke to turn back the reapers. Without her, there was no hope. So really, coming out here with a gun had been a bad idea on Bellamy's part.
Clarke stayed very still because that knife Lexa had, it looked sharp. And while she didn't think Lexa would kill her, she would hurt her to prove a point, or get Bellamy to back off. She hadn't wanted any of this. And it was all so messed up now.
"I'm fine." Like that would deter him. "You're not killing her. She's just trying to do right by her people. Same as us." Clarke's eyes filled with tears. "Please, Bell."
