Betty was feeling a little overwhelmed about all of this. It wasn't that her mom was pregnant, she was happy for her. She'd never seen her mother so happy, certainly never when Alice had been with Hal. It seemed FP was her true love, just as Betty felt that Jughead was hers. But being here was super weird for her. She'd get used to it though. Planning a baby shower for her mother was not only a nice distraction, but it was also nice for her to get to know JB more. And she wanted that. They were family now. And JB seemed pretty happy that Betty wasn't treating her like a little kid. Honestly, it was hard for Betty to remember that JB was so young. She seemed and acted so much older. Betty hoped that here, without the influence of her mother, JB could do some normal kid things, if she wanted to. "It's not that far away," Betty said. "It will be here before we know it. And we have got to be ready." She added. "Yeah, we all have to go to school. Maybe it won't be that bad." She had to wonder if JB wasn't going to school in Toledo, surely she must have been, right? She slid into a booth at Pop's across from JB, they'd put in an order before they left so it'd be nice and warm for Alice. |
