"I don't 'know about you'," Beth corrected Quinn quietly, sitting down beside Finn, figuring it was the slightly less awkward of her options. "I know you, we have a relationship, it was what you and my mom wanted." She shrugged her shoulders.
"Mom said that if you cleaned up your act you could be in my life when we moved back to Lima," she recounted. "You managed to, but it took some time, but Noah spent all his time behaving in...inappropriate manners towards my mom and when she refused what he wanted he tried to frame her as a terrible mother and reported her to child services. You told my mother you had nothing to do with it, when you had your accident Mom took me to visit you in the hospital, Finn was there but when he saw me he didn't stay. You got into Yale so we moved back to New York so you could see me if you wanted to. You and Finn were dating but he was in the Marines so I didn't see him that often, you and my mom encouraged me to write him letters..." Beth felt like she was rambling, but what could she do? Quinn had asked.
"You and Finn got married and had a couple kids together and you moved to New York once you graduated from Yale," Beth continued. "I am allowed to see you and spend overnights with you, and I have been since I was a child." She shrugged.
"They know I'm their sister," she added. "No one told them about the half part but I'm sure eventually they'll figure that out."
