Seeing Eliot Spencer scowl was nothing out of the ordinary. In fact, it was usually pretty common-place. But there was nothing ordinary about the scowl he wore now. Heavy boots stood on the cold, wooden floors of the empty mansion and he frowned at the welcome packet in his hands as he read through it a second time. He signed onto the network, read through a few of the most recent posts and immediately logged back out again. "The hell is this place?" The words were gruff and muttered under his breath.
He'd been in impossible situations before and he'd always survived, but this place- it was nothing like he'd ever seen before. It was straight out of one of Hardison's Doctor Who episodes. (Not that he would ever let Hardison know he actually knew the name of the series.) He took the phone that had been in the manila envelope and discarded it back on the table. Not a chance was he going to walk around this place with some unknown tech in his pocket. It could be bugged, and he wasn't letting anyone track his location. No, his phone would continue to serve him just fine. He did hang onto the rest of the packet, though. The map, in particular, would prove to be helpful. So he slid the information back in the envelope, gripped it tightly in his right hand and set out on his own.
Some time later after a few fruitless phone calls to his teammates and an examination of the seal town border, Eliot's scowl had only deepened. He was caged here, without Parker and Hardison, and it was starting to piss him off. But the temperature outside was starting to get colder and Eliot realized he hadn't eaten in several hours. So he made his way back to the town's Main Street until he spotted a diner called Claudias, It looked innocent enough and Eliot headed inside.
Once through the doors, he scanned the room and made note of the current occupants and all exit points. It was an old habit of his that had saved his ass more than a few times. Satisfied, he approached the hostess who sat him down at the bar. He thanked her and laid the welcome packet down next to him on the counter. "Hey, can I get a coffee?" He called to the dark haired woman closest to him.
