Liz was feeling down on the eve of 2017 being away from home. It felt strange to her that she didn't work the Crashdown party that night, as she had done every year since she was small. Being away from Zan on what would be their second New Years Eve didn't help in her mood at all. She missed him so much it hurt. She never thought she could feel that with anyone but Max until she met his clone and fell hard for him. They were so alike but different at the same tme and she couldn't help it. She went out for a walk that night, thinking the cool air might do her some good while Maria and Kyle were out at a party. They invited her to go but she hadn't been in the mood. As she neared the clock tower, she saw a familiar figure standing near it. It looked like the Max that visited her but as she got closer, she could tell it wasn't. That tattoos, piercings, and rough look about him give him away immediately. "Zan!" She called out, her face lighting up as she ran over towards him.

Zan wasn't a fan of being taken against this will. Not only was he confused but he was pissed. He didn't completely understand what was happening but at least he knew he was there physically. It wouldn't be the first time that he would have astral projected but that wasn't what was this.

He read the note or whatever then promptly tossed it away. He started to walk in the town. He wasn't really headed anywhere in general, just following a feeling. He had the feeling before but it had been a while since he had it.

When he heard his name being called he knew what the feeling was. He was leading himself to Liz. He didn't ran with her because he knew that she would be there in a matter of time. "Are you okay?" was the first thing he asked when they were next to each other.

She stopped short of him and walked the rest of the way, the smile never leaving her face. Now that he was there she could stop feeling so down and get back to her usual happy self. It was amazing what being close to him did for her. It was the same way with me. There was just something about the Antar king that made her feel amazing no matter what version she was with. It would never not be fascinating to her.

"I'm a lot better now that you're here" She replied, her arms going around him as she leaned up and kissed him. Having only kissed boys with smooth skin, kissing a boy with facial hair was weird at first but now she was used to it. She thought it suited him quite well. She held the kiss for a long moment then she pulled away. "We're not in 2003, anymore. It's minutes away from 2017" She told him, looking up at the clock on the tower for a moment to see the time.

Liz saying that she was okay did nothing for the Antar king. He wanted to know wholeheartedly that she was okay. As she leaned up against him and kissed him there was a graze across her body as he checked. There didn't seem to be any harm which was lucky for anyone else here.

He didn't want anything else from her but to end the distance. He wasn't ever himself if he was away from her. Mostly because he knew the back stabbing the world can be.

"How is that possible? I can no time travel," he said as he looked around.

She squirmed a little bit at the gave across her body. Zan could always be a little handsy so she didn't cross her mind that he was checking her over for injury. Pulling back, she reached up and moved some hair out of his face as she answered him. "Magic of all things" She replied as she moved her hands down and wrapped them around her hips. "I know it's crazy and doesn't sound believable but it's true" She told him as the seconds ticked on. She was glad he was there to ring in the year with. It meant that 2017 was going to be a good year because they were together.

Liz had told him about time travel before but it wasn't like this. It wasn't a power that either of them had and yet they were both there. It was going to take more than words for it to sink in. It wasn't going to be the main thing to take over his thoughts at the moment. He was more interested in the fact that they were there together. It was, for the moment, the most important fact that he could hang on to. There was time later to deal with everything else. "And how do we get home?" he asked not allowing her to pull back too much.

"We can't" She told him with a shake of her head as she put her hands in the back pockets of his jeans. It was something she started years ago and now she did it without thinking most of the time. "We're stuck here" She told him frown that soon turned into a smile when she heard the clock tower go off. It was midnight. "Happy New Year, Zan" She spoke before she leaned up and kissed him deeply, all the love she felt for him coming out in the kiss.
