Since Stephanie had taken on guardianship of four of the sick children that had appeared in Storybrooke, she'd grown fond of them to an almost maternal degree. So while she was sick enough with worry when Leo was rushed to the hospital... to suddenly receive a call saying that Dash was now hospitalized as well? The former soldier almost broke down right there. But she knew she had to be as strong as possible... so she quickly sent a message to Wanda, letting her know what was going on, and headed off.

Once there, she began the horrifying task of waiting. Waiting for one of Dash's doctors to come and give her SOME kind of update on the boy. He was one of the first people to befriend her upon her arrival in this place, and she had a special bond with him that she didn't even have the proper words for. This? Was hell.

Wanda was still adjusting to life in Storybrooke. It was confusing and there were many things she needed to process, but for the moment she'd set them aside. The children were not doing well and if that wasn't difficult enough to see, she was worried for Stephanie as well.

As soon as she was able, she made her way to the hospital to provide whatever comfort she could. Steph was a striking woman and was easy to spot in the waiting room, so Wanda made a beeline for her. "Stephanie," she called in her accented English. "I came as soon as I could."

"Wanda..." The blonde sighed with relief, seeing her girlfriend(!) arriving. For so long, she'd had to bear the weight of all this herself, but now she had someone to lean on, and that was exactly what she did. She sprinted over to the woman, throwing her arms around her for a big, loving hug.

"Thanks for coming... I'm at my wits end right now, Dash is sick, but I have no idea what happened yet, or how he's doing..."

Despite the difficult circumstances, she couldn't help the smile that crossed her face as Stephanie hurried toward her- arms open. She gracefully moved into the embrace and wrapped her own arms tightly around the blonde. She could feel the worry and distress radiating from Stephanie and ran her hand comfortingly over her back. "Of course," she said, not yet pulling away. "We will wait together. The doctors have not told you what happened yet?"

	"No, I'm waiting on Dr. Shepherd to get here... I'm just a mess, honey..." She sighed, taking a relaxing sniff of Wanda's hair. God, she loved having this woman back in her life. 	Wanda responded with a half smile. "Things rarely happen the way we expect them to." She took Stephanie by the hand and led her over to sit down. "Do you need me to get you anything? Coffee? Food?" "Right now... I can honestly say the only thing I want is for you to stay here at my side." Stephanie told her without having to even think about it. She knew there was nothing Wanda or anyone else could do to actually help the situation... so the best thing she could do was just be her typically calming presence to the blonde. "I'm just... I was laughing earlier, thinking that Dash would probably flirt with you when I introduced you. And now he's here and I don't even know how he IS."

	Wanda flushed. "Then I will stay right here." She sat down next to Stephanie and kept their hands linked. She rubbed her thumb lightly across the back of Steph's hand. 	"They're just... they're amazing. All of them." Stephanie said with a proud little smile. "They're all fighting various terrible illnesses, and each one is so, SO brave. Dash was the first one I met when I got here, and he just stole my heart. He's such a fighter, I just love him. Through him, I met Kara, Hunter, and Leo, and I consider these kids my family now."
