WHO: Alex & Isabel WHEN: backdated to just after their arrival. WHERE: Granny's Diner. WHAT: She left, he died, but now they're together again. RATING: High. Likely discussion of war, trauma, & character death
She'd actually been thinking about Alex just before her arrival. Back in the darkness of Boulder when she'd drawn their enemies away from Kyle and the camp. As Isabel made her sacrifice and accepted that she wouldn't live to see any of her loved ones again, she thought about Alex. She didn't know what to believe about the afterlife, if there was one or not. But if there was, maybe she would get the chance to see him again, and that small thought had given her solace as she faced her own death.
But it had never come. Instead she'd been pulled to this place. This Storybrooke. A town filled with magic and magical creatures, where she and her family weren't the biggest freaks around. She'd been trying to straighten everything out by talking to Liz and Maria when she'd first seen Alex's post. After that, everything in Isabel's mind faded back until she only had one focus- him. She shoved her phone away and glanced at the town map long enough to find the diner, and then she was gone.
Isabel Evans had always been an imposing figure. With her height, beauty, and confidence, she always drew the eye of those around her when she entered a room. None of that changed as she made her way into Granny's, but she had eyes for only one person. "Alex." She shot forward from the doorway as soon as she found him.
