Daphne had been here a while without her sister showing up and she'd gotten to the point where she didn't think it would ever happen. Oh, people showed up every day, but it seemed that Potter's friends showed up more than her own friends. Pansy was there, of course and a Draco who was a bit younger than she was used to, but the Gryffindor population of this place seemed to far outnumber the Slytherin population.
She walked into the diner and began to look for her sister, though that didn't take long. She saw the girl waving at her and noticed the red on her wrist. It was something that didn't surprise Daphne and maybe even gave her a little more of a sense of normalcy. She went over, giving her sister a smile before sitting down.
"Yes, well, there aren't many options when you're stuck in a small town," she commented. As a witch, Daphne had of course tried to find a counter-spell, anything to get her back home, but nothing had worked. It was definitely magic that had brought them here, but none that she was familiar with.
She smiled fondly as Astoria mentioned the place they used to sneak out to. She knew exactly which one her sister was referring to. "Yes, it does in a way," she remarked. She hadn't really thought about it before, but she hadn't really tried to connect this place to home in her thoughts before, either.
