Elijah was quite used to magic messing with his life in this way, but he certainly hadn't grown fond of it. He wished there was a way to rid himself of such occasions, but it seemed that was not meant to be for the moment. This new strange place seemed to be something he was going to have to get used to for the moment. Sure he could continue to try and find a way out, but in the mean time he would make a home for himself here. He wasn't the type that could just pass time in a place. Living so long caused him to have a desire to live more fully and make his long years worth it. This place wouldn't be any different for him. He would make the most of the time he had been given. The fact that there were other versions of him here made him feel kind of uneasy. At first he had thought his mother was behind this, but now he just wasn't so sure. Sure she was capable of doing something this cruel, but he couldn't see the motives of making more of the children she hated so much. Of course he knew that with time he could figure things out, but that started with learning more about his new surroundings. So, for now that would be his goal. He decided that the best way to get to work on achieving that goal was to just go out and have a look around. The town was small enough that he was sure he could check out the whole town in one day. So, he set his mind on doing just that. He made his way out of the little house he had been given and began moving down the streets. It was quiet enough and he was able to move around with retaliative ease. Soon enough he made his way to a diner and he made his way to the counter. Normally he would have found a booth, but the counter was a place to find out things. He knew he was more likely to find out information if he was sitting near other people that were in the same boat he was in. He ordered himself a cup of coffee and then leaned back for a moment to people watch. Soon enough he saw someone walk in. The woman sure enough reminded him of someone else he knew, but there were differences enough that he was sure it couldn't be her. But she certainly looked like his mother...and she aspects of his father as well. But it had to be a rare moment. She couldn't be related to them. The only other woman that would remind him of his parents was the sister he had never met and she was taken from them long ago. He found himself getting caught up in her movements though and before he knew it quite a bit of time had passed and he was still watching her. |
