Who: Tony and Howard When: After their talk on the network Where: The Rabbit Hole What: Catching up Warnings: Shouldn't be any, will update if necessary.
Finding his father in this town or whatever it was hadn't been something Tony had been expecting at all. Finding a version of his father that was so young? Was most definitely unexpected.
But it wasn't bad. At first Tony had been unsure if he should even approach or talk to him, considering his relationship with his father had been complicated at best, but his curiosity had gotten the better of him. So had the fact that he had unexpectedly lost him and his mother not even ten years ago. Tony wasn't a big believer in fate or the whole 'everything happens for a reason' crap, but he found himself relatively okay with being brought here to meet the younger version of his dad.
After getting settled in the new house where he'd be living, and putting in an application to work at the auto shop in town to be a mechanic, he made his way to the bar. He was restless, and it showed as he adjusted his hair for the millionth time, but he tried to push the nerves away. There was a glow shining underneath the layer of shirts he was wearing, where the arc reactor was embedded, but he hoped his dad wouldn't notice. He wasn't even sure how to explain that one. There was a scar extending into his wrist of his right hand, but at least the rest of the physical signs of the explosion that Obadiah had caused years ago were hiding under his clothes.
Finding a booth where they could sit, Tony slid in and drummed his fingers on the table as he waited for his father. He wasn't sure how this was going to go, but he just hoped this version of his dad wouldn't get sick of him as quickly as the other one always seemed to be.
