Who: Nate Archibald & Serena Van der Woodsen & Open
When: 09/24/15
Where: Any Given Sundae
What: hanging out
Warnings: TBD, but mentions of drug use, it IS Nate
Nate and Serena were sitting in the ice cream shop. Nate had just got done smoking before they'd walked over here, and all of the ice cream was looking good to him. They were trying to decide what they wanted before they went up to the counter. It felt like old times, even though Nate knew there was no chance with Serena. He wasn't surprised to find out that she was in love with Blair. He had always wondered if that was the case. They were always a little too close, at least, in Nate's opinion. Plus he knew they'd made out a few times.
That was partly why they were here. Serena wanted to talk about Blair. Nate wasn't sure why they were going to discuss it, it's not like Blair would listen to him if he spoke to her on Serena's behalf. Nate brushed his hand through his brown hair, he thought he might finally know what he wanted. "You know what you want yet, Serena?" He asked, it was easy to tell why he had been in love with her, she was tall, blonde, and gorgeous. Plus, she'd always been easy. There was no other way to put that that Nate could think of.
When Nate asked her that, Serena wasn't sure what to reply. She wasn't sure what to eat. She supposed one of these days she'd have to worry about what she ate, but that day was not today. She was surprised that Nate hadn't already ordered everything on the menu. She was also surprised that Nate hadn't gotten in trouble for weed here. He already had once back in New York. Part of the reason he'd ended up hanging out with Georgina Sparks for awhile, and Serena honestly didn't know why anyone did that.
"No, not yet." She told him, brushing some of her long blonde hair out of her eyes. Serena wasn't sure why she'd chosen Nate for this conversation, other than he was her other oldest friend and she'd used to think that she was in love with him. Serena wasn't sure that she ever had been, but she had definitely thought she was. "But if you know what you want don't let me stop you."
If only Blair were here.
